Celebrate Crossing Guard Appreciation Day with the Safe Routes Ambassadors!

The Safe Routes Ambassadors are celebrating Crossing Guard Appreciation Day this year on May 3, 2011, the official day designated by Governor Quinn.  You can nominate your favorite Crossing Guard here! Share stories about why this Crossing Guard is especially meaningful to you, and your Crossing Guard will be honored during the week of May 3 with a certificate of appreciation from the Safe Routes Ambassadors and the Chicago Department of Transportation.

Crossing Guards play an integral role in our lives, helping students get to school safely in the morning and afternoons. They work all school year, rain or shine! Let’s say “Thanks!” to our Crossing Guards on May 3, 2011.
